Mr. Gontijo is currently the Chairman of Direcional’s board of directors and has been its Chief Executive Officer since having founded the Company in 1981. He served as a construction officer at Construtora Andrade Valladares from 1974 to 1984, where he managed a group of approximately 35 engineers and was responsible for the construction of approximately 32,700 units. Mr. Gontijo graduated cum laude with a BA from in Civil Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais.
